Excellent food for thought regarding who owns the news. And how Orwellian to see "Independent" and "Local" used as descriptors of these giant conglomerately owned news outlets that are taking over our nation's cities and towns. I'm thinking that the data and detention centers that are popping up everywhere might be owned by the same oligarchs.
I remember the article at the time and someone brought up capitalism and why not. Now with streaming we will see how the news flows. Netflix, Paramount the Saudi’s all want a piece of the American pie. Do we really want the Saudi’s controlling news content in the US? That’s unheard of deregulation.
I am very worried about how the news, and the what's being reported is being manipulated with no oversight. Isn't this supposed to be handled by the fcc?
