While Dartmouth’s financial position is different, I applaud their bravery and dedication to academia. It’s not easy being the first to take a stand, and I hope more universities follow.

Adelita Grijalva, even before being sworn in, has emerged as the most powerful member of the House of Representatives.

Why would a school have online classes in class? Where’s the teacher? Student should have a discussion, interact and engage. I’m so sad for public education. Districts try so hard but Charters and ESA’s have sucked all the money out of the system. Just the way Republicans planned.

From my perspective Speaker Johnson do interviews is the equivalent of watching Speaker Pelosi do interviews during past shutdowns. They are both spin masters who live for the political win. The biggest difference is that he has more leverage with this shutdown, because Trump and Vought are laying off thousands of federal employees this time around, not just furloughing them, and now we have a lack of representation in CD7. Personally, I wish Dems would agree to the existing CR and put their heads down to negotiate the ACA subsidies before December. Then, in the meantime, with Rep. Grijalva on board, they can focus on releasing the Epstein files.

The voters of CD7 need representation, and that might come by way of “caving” and signing this CR to re-open the government. Plus, it might interrupt this shocking layoff strategy.

The difference between Johnson and Pelosi is Johnson is a puppet and Pelosi was a master, she created policy and Johnson follows whatever he’s told.
