About us

Welcome to the Tucson Agenda!

New in town? We can help you get up to speed on how Tucson’s political world works.

Are you a longtime news hound who misses the local political reporting from yesteryear? So do we.

Looking for an easy way to keep tabs on things, without getting bogged down? That’s been our bread and butter since we launched the Agenda in 2023.

We’re an independent, journalist-owned news outlet staffed by veteran reporters with 30 years combined experience reporting in Arizona.

Joe Ferguson joined the Agenda in January 2025 and he does most of the local reporting for the Agenda, covering the ins and outs of Southern Arizona’s politics. You can usually find him at public meetings or taking pics of protests.

You can reach him here: [email protected].

Curt Prendergast is the co-founder of the Tucson Agenda.

He spent 18 years in Tucson and Nogales before moving to Pennsylvania in late 2024. Nowadays, his main job is to keep the Agenda machine rolling, along with writing up the daily In Other News sections and managing the Agenda Library.
